Lake Achensee in summer

In the summer Lake Achensee is a spot that you won’t forget very quickly. Sky blue clear water surrounded by green pastures and nestled among the Karwendel and Rofan mountains’ rugged rock faces. This region is not very popular with our guests in the summer and winter without good reason. Numerous activities can be practised here and anyone looking for relaxation also really gets their money’s worth here.

Atoll Achensee

Besides the various swimming and family pools, fantastic attractions like floor geysers, bubble loungers and slides entice visitors in the warm months, and in bad weather too. Naturally, the panoramic sauna complex can be used all year round too. Indoor and outdoor family pools provide just as much space to let off steam.
In good weather there is the option outdoors of splashing around in Lake Achensee using the direct access to the lake.

HIKING & CLIMBING

The Karwendel Alpine Park is the largest conservation area in the northern Alps and has the largest density of golden eagles in the Alps. Together with the Rofan mountains, there are 500 km of marked hiking trails in the region where nature can be admired in its full glory. Mountain pasture hikes and adventures up to the Sonnjoch (2,457 m) and Montscheinspitze (2,106 m) peaks are extremely popular.
For anyone who wants to climb the mountain in a different way, there are 250 sport climbing routes, eight via ferrata and numerous alpine classics. There is also a forest high rope course with varying levels of difficulty in Achenkirch. On the Rofan you can climb the unique Achensee 5 peak via ferrata that leads over five central peaks or you can conquer the 2,508 metre high Lamsenspitze in the Karwendel using the Brudertunnel, an alpine via ferrata. Numerous alpine tours and moderate alpine sport climbing routes as well as many other sport climbing areas are equally as popular with locals and guests throughout the Lake Achensee region.

Pertisau is also the final destination of the famous° Karwendelmarsch run, which stretches over 52 km from Scharnitz every year.

CYCLING & MOUNTAIN BIKING

The Lake Achensee region is a member of the Tyrolean Mountain Bike Specialists and has more than 250 km of cycling routes for every level. The renowned Karwendel Loop Tour, which is over 305.5 km long and has an elevation gain/loss of 6,896 metres, also takes place here. It is considered to be the epic tour among mountain bikers.
Naturally, families and amateur cyclists can also find countless cycle paths along the lake to enjoy nature by bike at a leisurely pace.
So anyone who doesn’t want to have to do without their bike on holiday has the change to practice their hobby in a variety of ways and in stunning scenery at Lake Achensee.

GOLFING

There are great offers for our enthusiastic golfing guests too. There are two superbly prepared golf courses in the region as well as a driving range that is playable on both sides in Pertisau. Anyone who wants to keep their game of golf small can find two mini golf courses in Achenkirch where the whole family can have fun in the fresh, Tyrolean mountain air. Anyone wants to play on a really special golf course in the best of hands at Achensee golf club. It is Tyrol’s oldest golf club and a “Leading Golf Course”.
